Job Description

Are you mathematically minded with excellent analysis skills? Do you have experience of delivering analytical insight within a project-based analytical environment? Are you comfortable defining and delivering against analytical solutions? If so, our Analyst position may be for you! This exciting role will contribute towards the development of insight which will impact positively upon business effectiveness.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a clear understanding of client's business issue to inform best approach to problem
  • Analyses of relationships between several parts of a problem or situation
  • Anticipation of obstacles whilst identifying a critical path for a project
  • Delivering products and services that empower clients to implement effective solutions
  • Adopting a clear systematic approach to complex issues
  • Ensuring probing questions are asked to get to the root of a problem
  • Exploring obvious avenues and known routes thoroughly
  • Tracking down and reading all previous information on the problem or issue
  • Working with other team members and making deliberate efforts to keep others up to date
  • Making specific changes and improvements to processes or own work to achieve more
  • Ensuring full availability to the client, especially during critical periods
For the role, we would be looking for you to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • Experience of delivering project-based analysis in a Customer Intelligence/Analytics team
  • Qualification (or experience to degree standard) in Statistics, Mathematics or Operational research
  • Hands-on experience of analytical tools or languages (SQL, SPSS) and third party data sources is desirable
  • Knowledge of customer life cycle management techniques and their application
  • Proven experience of defining analytical solutions and delivering against them
  • Experience of the exploitation of a range of analytical techniques
  • Demonstrable experience of solving a range of analytical problems
  • Experience of working within a team environment and of sharing knowledge across organisations
  • Practiced at measuring effectiveness of deliveries
  • Good problem research and problem solving techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • High levels of personal motivation
