Job Title: IT Engineer

Location: Yola

Department: OTDS/DIT/USU

Summary of Position

• This position is local position and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.
• The IT Engineer assists students, faculty and staff to maintain, repair and configure laptops and desktops.
• IT Engineer is responsible for general maintenance of University’s desktops and laptops in line with stipulated policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Minimum of 1 (one) year post NYSC experience working as an IT personnel
• Advanced knowledge of university supported applications.
• Ability to learn and support new technologies.
• Possess high level interpersonal communication skills.
• Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
• Certifications in MCSE, CCNA and others are preferable.

Other Requirements, Abilities for the Position:

• Ability to develop a work schedule, set goals, creates / implements actions plans and monitor progress towards goals.
• Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy confidentiality.
