The state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has approved the recruitment of university graduates and recognised professional certificate holders into the state civil service and government parastatals thereby signaling the lifting of the temporary embargo placed on employment in Osun State.
The news which filtered in on Tuesday via in a statement made by the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mrs Bimpe Ogunlumade, also urged qualified candidates to obtain appropriate recruitment forms from the commission. The category of workers to be recruited include administrative officers, lawyers, accountants, inspectors of taxes, quantity surveyors and information officers. The statement noted that recruitment exercise is in fulfillment of the six-point integral action plan of the administration.
Others vacancies to be filled in the public service were medical doctors, pharmacists, nursing officers, education officers, engineers, auditors as well as produce officers. The list of workers needed to strengthen the state work- force also included registrars of cooperatives, architects and building officers.
The statement then enjoined interested and suitably qualified candidates to obtain, complete and submit their application forms within a period of one week at the state Civil Service Commission, behind Bola Ige House, State Secretariat, Abere, Osogbo.
