Location: Lagos, LA NG (Primary) Port-Harcourt, RI NG
Major Accountabilities Of Position:
What - How - Why
- Study and understand the
company procedures - QMS Engineering Procedures
- Understand and be able to
describe the basic oil and gas production processes and be familiar with
simple terminology (Platform, Well head, Deck, FPSO, etc)
- Understand and be able to
interpret basic process and mechanical facilities drawings such as; UFDs,
PFDs, MFDs, & P&IDs, GA's, Plans and Elevations...
- Be able to recognize and understand
Mechanical and other Discipline Symbols and their uses.
- Know basic AutoCAD drafting
techniques and be able to produce drawings of low and medium complexities
- Know and understand the
different applicable design codes, ANSI material classifications and their
pressure/temperature ranges..
- Be able to carry out simple
mechanical/piping design calculations, such as Pipe and Vessel wall
thickness calculations.
- Generate Line and Equipment
Lists
- Assist superior in preparing
simple mechanical data sheets from given equipment data.
- Know the different types of
valves and their uses.
- Use MS applications software,
at least to 65 -70% proficiency level
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering
or related field.
- 0-3 years of related working
experience (fresh graduates).
Knowledge / Experience / Skills Required
Job Specific Knowledge:
- Basic Working knowledge of the
latest applicable engineering codes and standards, design practices and
design quality standards.
- Basic engineering knowledge in
Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical.
- Basic experience in the
Offshore/Onshore orientated Oil and Gas environment.
- Know basic AutoCAD drafting
techniques and be able to produce drawings of low and medium complexity
- Basic working knowledge of
Investigation and Reporting, Design Process, client facilities, Packaged
Equipment Design & Specification, Pump Design & Specification,
Compressor Design &Specification, Vessel Design & Specification,
Heat Exchange Equipment Design & Specification, etc
